Ch. 92: Detected by a Dog

Into the fourth straight day of rain, Lara awoke just as the sun had already risen, perhaps an hour or more than she would normally awake. She squinted her eyes at the spattering rays of sunlight dotting the inside of her cinder block house, and struggled to awake.

But last night she had regressed so far into her memories and fantasies that she had hardly gotten any sleep. Just as the sun had set that evening, and darkness fell across the forest, Lara had dove into into her clitoris, soothing herself, and becoming immersed into the nether world of her inner being.

Memories had blended with fantasies, causing her to feel convinced that these fantasies were actual memories. Teresa and Julia, Julia and Nan, Nan and Lucy, all danced together, plotted together, and used Lara sexually in some kind of ceremonial display of passage.

Orgasm after orgasm, Lara stroked herself through the night. Her brain became flooded with hormones and endorphins, producing an endless high. She found peace in the euphoria. It calmed her anxieties and let her forget about the ever-cooling temperatures shifting into Autumn.

Somewhere through it all, she finally succumbed to exhaustion and drifted to sleep.

Lara took in a deep breath, realizing the day had started without her. She felt very tired and her head was still spinning. She wrestled with the thought of going back to sleep, but something was nagging her and prevented her from doing so.

She needed to pee.

Finally tossing the layers of blankets and old clothes, she forced herself up. She pushed aside the thick covering of branches and vines blocking the doorway and squeezed herself through. She didn't travel very far to squat down.

Once she stood up, the cool morning air smelled fresh with the scent of oaks. She breathed in heavily and relished one of Nature's finest offerings. Her brain was starting to focus. Lara was hungry, and hadn't eaten yesterday.

She fetched a blanket from her cinder block house, folded it up, and tucked it under her arm. Then, she proceeded along the usual path that lead her to the campground. She had hoped to find food in the trash dumpster.

When the campground started to come into view, Lara would often stop and hide behind a small stand of trees to spot cars and RVs. She wanted to make sure she could make her way to the dumpster without being seen. She noticed at least one RV.

Lara walked gingerly over a special path she followed. Her feet knew where to step to avoid sharper rocks and branches. Deep into a thick stand of young oaks she found her way closer to the campground, and then stopped for a moment to get another good look.

By surprise, she heard people laughing. She looked to see if she could find them. She could not. Their talking increased in sound, however. She became concerned they were coming her way. She crouched down and tried to conceal herself as best she could behind the tightly-knit tree trunks. More laughing, more talking. It definitely sounded like these people were getting closer.

She began to hear their footsteps tromping through grasses and occasionally cracking leaves.

"Fetch!" She heard a man's voice yell out.

There must be a dog with them she reasoned.

Indeed, there was a dog. She heard it panting with excitement as it came very close to her. She tried to see, turning her head left and right and peeking through narrow widths between tree trunks. She spotted the dog. It looked golden in color, perhaps a Golden Retriever. The dog, however, did not go away. It stopped just ten or twelve feet from where she hid inside the stand of trees. She heard it sniffing and could see it moving about.

"Joe!" A man's voice called out. "Come on boy!"

The dog whined, continued to sniff and move about. Lara worried that it may have picked up her scent.

"Come on Joe!" A woman's voice yelled out.

It sounded as if the people were getting closer. Lara tightened with fear. Still crouched down, her hand had instinctively reached for her clitoris and began to soothe. She closed her eyes.

"Uhh!" She sighed in whisper, relishing the wonderful feeling it offered. Despite the canine danger so close by, the tight stand of trees offered some form of protection.

The dog came in closer, perhaps just four of five feet away, pointing its nose, curious at what might be hiding in those trees. It looked right at her and barked. Lara jerked from the sound, but remained in place, and continued to touching herself.

"Come on Joe! Let's go!" The man yelled out. He was not very far. The dog whined again, but this time gave up and returned to his owners. Lara continued to stroke herself. The stand of trees indeed protected her, allowing her to place her trust in them.

Once clear, Lara took in a deep breath, and continued closer to the campground.
