Ch. 97: Shaking off the Scent Dogs

"But how would they connect me with narcotics trafficking?" Lara asked. "If they already know who I am, they should already know I'm not involved in that?"

"Because the police don't care who's guilty or innocent. They only care about getting convictions. The more, the better." Charles explained, pessimistically.

Lara was becoming very afraid at this point. She realized she could never give herself up and expect the law to find her innocent.

"You say you have a house somewhere around here?" Charles asked.

"Yeah."

"Where is it?"

"It's about a mile and a half that way." Lara said, pointing.

"Well you can probably bet police are going through it right now."

"Well, it's not an actual house."

"OK. Then what is it?"

"It's just an old cinder block shack with trees and vines growing all over it. I just found it and decided to start living in it."

"Well, if they're this serious about finding you, then they have dogs out there too. They probably found it already."

"Will the dogs find me here?"

"They can."

Lara gasped. She began to cry. She kept her knees pulled up to her chest, resting her head on them, and then covering her eyes with her hands.

Charles got up from his seat and walked to her. He crouched down in front of the chair in which she was seated and tried to reassure her.

"Hey, you're in the best place right now. If you'd still be in that cinder block shack, they would have found you already."

Lara continued to weep. She was more frustrated with not being able to shake off the law, and now being considered a fugitive.

Charles put his hand on Lara's head.

"Don't worry, you'll be safe here."

"Really?" She asked, frightened.

"Look, I was in the Navy for 20 years, I've seen all kinds of stuff. I'm sure I can keep you safe."

"You can?" Lara asked, sinking into her little girl alter again.

"Of course!" Charles said, sensing a change in her.

"But what about the dogs? Will they get me?"

"Oh, no. They won't find you here. For one, you don't have any clothes, and dogs usually need to smell your clothing to find you. But two, I'm going to wash down the chairs outside, and wash the steps, and the handrail, and the patio mat, and I'm going to make sure they can't smell you at all. But in the meantime, you're going to have to take a shower at least a couple times a day to help throw them off. And then you'll just stay in here the next few days, until our time is up. OK?"

"OK!" Lara said, finally issuing a smile.

Charles rubbed her head again.

"Alright!"

The entire time he couldn't help to look at Lara's labia and vagina bulging out from her legs as her knees were pulled up to her chest. It was a strange feeling of arousal mixed into a protective, father-like role.
