Ch. 94: The Lure of a Hot Breakfast

Lara followed the man to a small sized motorhome deeper into the campground. She had to endure the gaze of a few other campers noticing a man leading a naked girl. The man didn't seem at all concerned about their stares, and neither did Lara.

The motorhome looked old, essentially a Dodge van with a camper built around it, perhaps measuring twenty-five feet long in total. There was a patio mat laid outside with a folding reclining chair along with a propane cooking grill.

"It's not elegant, but it works for me!" The man said.

Lara stood on the patio mat, still feeling frightened and still keeping her hands curled up close to her chest, her elbows tight against her sides, and her head down.

"You're in luck too! I got eggs, potatoes, and bread. I can heat up some more coffee and get you all fed." The man replied, turning on the propane to light up the grill.

Lara remained standing nude on the patio mat. She felt very vulnerable and submissive.

"Go ahead and have a seat on that chair! Get yourself comfortable."

Lara looked at the man, but didn't respond.

"Well go on! Have a seat!"

She reluctantly walked to the chair, and carefully lowered herself down, remaining the edge of the chair and sitting straight up. She stared at the man.

He opened up an ice chest and fetched a package of bacon along with a carton of eggs and a bag of tater tots. He poured oil across the grill and began to cook. Lara watched the man and began to notice subtle things about him. For one, he seemed very gentile in the way he moved about. He kept his arms and hands within conservative movements, his shirt was tucked into his pants, and of course she noticed his beard neatly trimmed though kept thick. His camp appeared relatively clean and organized as if he took the time to care for this things. It gave a Lara the sense that he was more refined than most men.

"You have a name?" He asked.

Lara was still not ready to speak. He turned to look at her for an answer, but all she could do was shrug her shoulders.

"Well, my name is Charles. How about that? I don't really go by Charlie or Chuck, I just prefer Charles, just so you know."

Lara continued to watch him cook.

"Let me ask you this way, do you even have a name?"

Lara nodded her head to say yes.

"OK, and do you know your name?"

Lara nodded her yes.

"Are you not able to speak at all?" He asked again.

Lara was stuck with that one. She wasn't ready to speak, and he didn't want him pressing her to do so. She shrugged her shoulders again.

"Well, do you know sign language?"

Lara shook her head no.

"Oh, I see. You can understand what I'm saying, but you're not speaking. Well, that's alright. I'm fine with that."

When Charles was finished, he presented Lara with a plate of scrambled eggs, a few slices of bacon, and several tater-tots, all seemingly piled together along with a slice of toast and butter. Her face smiled and she immediately began eating.

"Let me get you a cup of coffee too." He said.

Even though Lara had already eaten some food from inside the dumpster, it was no substitute for a freshly cooked meal. Charles seemed to have a way of making breakfast taste and smell more appetizing than normal.

"I like to throw in a little garlic and paprika to boost the flavor. It makes it real good!"

Lara turned to look at Charles and made a smile with a mouthful of food.

"You know, I don't know what your situation is, but I have some smaller t-shirts and shorts I can set you up with so you don't have go around naked."

Lara immediately shook her head no, still working on the plate of breakfast.

"No? You don't want anything to wear?"

Lara shook her head no, again.

"Well. OK then. You need someone to drive you back to your house? I'll be glad to help!"

Lara shook her head no.

"So, you can get back home on your own?"

She nodded her head yes.

"Alright. Well, I'm just going to be here for a few more days, and then I'll be taking off. But, you're welcome to stick around until then. I got plenty of food!"

Lara smiled and nodded her head yes.

The man made a burly, gruff laugh.

"Well, OK then!"
